Ringsfield Hall is a warm, welcoming Victorian country house; attractively presented, standing in 14 acres of varied grounds. The grounds include woodland, meadow, pasture, ponds, gardens, with a tennis court, playing field, campfire circle, and BBQ. We also have a number of animals and birds on site.

   It is the perfect place as a base to explore the countryside, the coast, and The Broads; or to find outdoor activities such as canoeing, sailing, riding; and as a centre for outdoor learning, team building; and for meetings and meals.

   We are open all year.

 

  • Sitting room: There are two sitting rooms, one with open fire, one with flame effect gas fire.

  • Heating: Central heating

  • Bedrooms:  12 bedrooms on two floors & 1 on ground floor: 2 singles, 6 twins, 1x 3 beds, 1x2 bunks, 1x4 bunks, 1x5 bunks, 1x6 bunks.

  • Bathrooms:  5 showers ,2 baths, 6 toilets.

  • Dining room:  Has conservatory area for larger groups.

  • Linen: Currently duvets provided, guests provide own linen.

  • Catering: Self catering or fully catered, home cooked local food, all diets.

  • Kitchen:  Well equipped large kitchen, commercial cooker, freezer, microwave; also guest kitchen for drinks etc.

  • Available: TV, video, DVD, CD and tape player, O.H.P., flip chart.

  • Child facilities: high chair and travel cot.

  • Pets: sorry we are unable to allow pets.

 

    Games Room

Just behind the Craft Room through the Mulberry Courtyard there is a large Games Room for Table Tennis, Snooker, soft ball games and plenty of space! This would also make an ideal room for larger groups to meet.

    Chapel and Gardens

Close to the Hall, there is a small chapel with its own cloistered garden for the use of every one, of all faiths and none, for personal quiet contemplation. The Chapel is freely available for worship and prayer by individuals and groups.

   The Trust is a member of the Quiet Garden Trust which provides  quiet gardens of peace for any member of the public to use for their own times of stillness and meditation. The chapel and the cloistered garden are available for use in this way. Details on request.

   There are 14 acres of land including gardens, playing field, tennis court, a small adventure play ground and tree house, woods, meadows, animal paddocks and a campfire circle.

London; 2hrs up A12, or M11 from M25. Cambridge; 1.5 hrs, Norwich; 30 mins. On the Norfolk/ Suffolk border near the market town of Beccles - gateway to the Broads.

The famous east coast town of Southwold, with nearby Walberswick and Dunwich Heath's Minsmere Bird Sanctuary are 10 miles away, also Gt. Yarmouth and Lowestoft.

Directions to Ringsfield Hall

From Beccles

Take the B1062 to Bungay. Travel 1.6 miles from the town sign opposite the Ringsfield Road (DO NOT go down this road!) after 1.6 miles take the left turn sign-posted Ringsfield just over the brow of a hill.
After 100 yards take the road bearing right; sign-posted Ringsfield Hall Trust. Travel down this winding lane for 2 miles and Ringsfield Hall is on your left.

From Bungay

Take the B1062 to Beccles. Travel 4 miles from Bungay until you come to a right turn sign-posted Ringsfield. Turn right here, then after 100 yards take the road bearing right; sign-posted Ringsfield Hall trust. Travel down this winding lane for 2 miles and Ringsfield Hall is on your left.

From the A12

From the A12 take the a144 to Halesworth and Bungay, travel 9.5 miles through Halesworth towards Bungay and about 2 miles before Bungay take the first right turn, sign-posted to St. Andrews. You have turned into Top Road, go through St. Andrews and take a left turn down Tooks Common Lane, proceed a further ½ mile then turn right down Banter's Lane. Ringsfield Hall is a further ½ mile on your right.
If you miss the first right turn to St. Andrews take the next right and travel for 1.5 miles and turn left into Tooks Common Lane then next right into Banter's Lane. Ringsfield Hall is on your right after 0.5 mile. Alternatively, from the A12 take the A145 to Beccles. At the traffic lights in Beccles turn left then follow the instructions From Beccles above.
